I used the kettle to boil the water today, although that is not typical for me. Usually I just heat the water in a cup in the microwave .sometimes I just put the bag in it in the cup of water in the microwave and Voila! tea. What method do you use to make tea?

The few times I prepare a tea, I heat the water in the kettle, put the tea leaves inside the teapot, pour the water, let it rest and filter the tea inside the tea cups.

@LadyDuck I'd just rather stick a bag in a cup and be done with it.

@snowy22315 When I spent a few weeks in the UK to learn English, the lady who hosted us showed us how to make tea properly. I do not like tea at all, I prepare for my husband when he asks, but it's not something I drink.

I typically pour boiling water into the tea pot to preheat that, and then put my tea in there with fresh hot water and pour it after it has steeped.

I am sure there may be different methods for different people. Some people use those tea balls too, and put loose tea in it, or use electric kettles.

Hot air? You mean like a microwave?
