In the countryside the swans and geese are kept in the open.

There are no cages or enclosures in the countryside in India for swans and geese. They venture in the open in the grasses. Whenever they like they swim in the ponds and lakes. During the lunch and dinner they are fed well. That makes their life very independent and happy.

Happy that they are in open and well fed. Geese feed on grasses and seems there is enough green patch for them. No one would like to be encaged.

thanks Arunimaji they also maintain the ecological balance. Each living being has its role to play. I found in the countryside that these swans and geese are pet birds. They are not killed nor harmed

They would enjoy being out in the open. Geese actually eat a lot of grass, much more than I ever imagined.

thanks Jojo. I found them in the hill area in Purulia and Garpanchkot. I am not sure. May be the villagers are honest.
