A family who lives in Philadelphia who was in the company of a cat named Edgar escaped from a carrier at the subway station on Sunday night was in danger of being hit by a subway had a Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)) and employees of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) had not been on duty that evening. The reason that the officials of PAWS and SEPTA were on the subway station was that the Philadelphia Phillies are currently playing in the 2022 World Series. An employee with the SEPTA saw Edgar on the subway tracks who managed to save the cat from danger of being hit by a subway. The SEPTA employee handed Edgar to a PAWS employee who then was reunited with his owners late that evening. Edgar's owners were very happy that the employees at SEPTA and PAWS did rescue their cat.

Edgar was lucky that the day of the incident there was a baseball game going on. Otherwise, The subway employee and the PAWS employee would not have been there.

I am in full agreement with you that the cat was saved from being taken out by a subway train.

Edgar was a lucky old boy. He could have been smushed to smithereens.

That is very true since the subway driver would not be able to stop the train to avoid hitting the cat.
