A student who was eating a meal at lunch began to choke when the food particle which was not mentioned went down the wrong tube on Thursday. Guiteras School custodian Bobby Santos was inside of the cafeteria when the student whose name was mentioned began to choke. Bobby answered the call for help as soon he could by using the Heimlich maneuver to remove the food object out of the mouth of the student. Bobby admitted that he was nervous when he used the Heimlich maneuver of the child who attends an elementary school who came close to likely pass away from lack of air in his lunge. However, after the child did recover from his near death scare has increased the friendship between the custodian and the child. Bobby insists he is not a hero. He was just doing his job which makes me happy making the lives of the students at the elementary school feel good that he is their friend.

Most who save lives say they are not heroes. But they are. Great story again.

You have a good point there even though Bobby is humble by not saying he is a hero, he is indeed a hero.

Thats a pretty cool story. Heimlich maneuver is not as easy as it looks, even if you practiced it. I seen a doctor snuggle with it in National Guard. One of the captains choked on a apple and we all thought he was joking around and lucky one of the doctor medics was there with us. He even thought captain was joking, but captain eventually let us know he was not. It took the doctor 5 attempts before apple piece popped out. It got scary real quick.

@Deepizzaguy Yeah its no joke to choke and your normal reaction is to keep Swallowing and I think it gets embedded so deep why its not really a 100 percent plan. Body I think actually helps too its like its not supposed to be like this and all the muscles and stuff are saying no spit it the other way. It will just get stuck down this way. Its interesting and scary as hell to see it live.

@crossbones27 I agree with you that choking on food is not a laughing matter since a choking victim does get scared during the lack of breathing period.

I have seen the stories where the Heimlich maneuver require a lot of time to remove the food object out of the mouth of the choking victim.

The Heimlich manouevre has been used time and time again and it must have saved the lives of dozens of people.
