Remember Why We Left Britain?

George Washington gave Americans a stark warning when he stepped down from the presidency in 1797. He asked Americans to remember the chaos and decay that they felt British Parliament had fallen into and why we traveled here to make a new home for ourselves where we could enjoy freedom at last. If Americans are ever to vote into office "unprincipled men" then they will be falling back into that chaos and decay that they fought to get away from. We cannot be a land of freedom when our freedoms are being taken away from us.
