It is a touch screen. An internal mouse pad. (I guess that is what it is called) This is where the issue seems to be. I have always kept the power cord in the computer. I am now seeing where the two mouse pad buttons are cracked with the right one being swollen. I think that is where the battery is. I seem to start having problems when I take the power cord out or when it has been out and I put it in. I can't type. And, I get pop-ups all over the screen when I try to type or do anything. Aggravating. Of course, today is the day when I have like 90-100 responses I am trying to get answered. I have to turn it off and on. It will work for a while and then start it up again. Me too! I hope to get a new one next year but have other things to take care of first.

Sounds like you need to get it repaired, because it could very well be a battery problem.

It is a battery problem I can't take in to be repaired. I will be getting a new one soon. Just not going to put money into this one.
