I take up Bachelor in Elementary Education major in Home Economics and Technology. There are only 3 majors to choose from so even if I don't like it I just studied it. I would like Science or English as major or computer but it is not available at that time. However I'm still thankful I have this major because it is only here that I learn to cook and bake and preserve food. I also learn how to sew using electric and manual sewing machine a dress, blouse, skirt and pajamas. My eldest sister took secondary education major in Physics. I'm still thankful that this is my major because it is really useful

It is a practical skill to learn. I am glad you were able to appreciate the course you took and make good use of it right now.

@averygirl72 Indeed it seems not a very attractive course since the subject is more like for home only unlike courses like accounting and engineering or medicine. But in reality it is a very useful course especially if you will have a business of your own.

I'm sure that was a very useful course to take. You can save so much if you can cook and sew.

Mother had no time to teach us to cook. After taking this course I become more confident in the kitchen. I'm not able to use my sewing skills for now

@JudyEv What I can really use now is the cooking skills as I make empanadas and sell them

@averygirl72 Even if you can't use them now, you have done some sewing and the knowledge will come to you if and when you need it.
