I have been having this since childhood. My grams and my family has always followed this recipe when they could not sleep, were not feeling well, had cough or cold anything and this was a great medicine. This has recently become famous all over the world and is now consumed with different form other than milk. But this is the absolutely perfect way of how traditional turmeric milk is made, which is called golden milk now. I just take a cup of milk and add two pich of pure turmeric to it, I grate a pinch of nutmeg. Nutmeg is said to give you good nights sleep. Also beneficial if you are diabetic. You can either add a pinch of nutmeg powder or a pinch of cinnamon powder. It’s had warm, is extremely relaxing and calming. I have had this since I was born and I still have it when my world and health is upside down. And this makes me feel so much better. Once boiled I turn off the flame and pour it in my cup and add little jaggery. This is optional. But I prefer jaggery powder over sugar. I have it before bed. It truly helps my body to heal overnight and gives me a deep rest I need. Turmeric has medicinal values and it is also antibacterial, nutmeg promotes sleep and helps if you have diabetes. If you’re diabetic then skip the Jaggery Try this next time you need a good nights sleep, have it warm and snuggle in your blanket
