11 November - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today turned out better than I expected.
I'm thankful I got everything done this morning before I went to the exercise class.
I'm thankful for the exercise class. I asked one of the gals to bring her exercise tape for today's class. It's a more intense workout and all sitting. It felt so good.
I'm thankful for the nap I got this morning. I got about an hour. It felt good and I felt rejuvenated.
I'm thankful for the call I got from my son. His girlfriend came over and we went shopping. I drove her car because she just came from an eye appointment, so her eyes were dilated. The local grocery store offered free items for Veterans with a $20 purchase. I didn't need any of what was on the list of items, but she could, so I was more than happy to help them out. I benefited because I helped someone else. It wasn't all about me.
I'm thankful she stayed for a couple of hours and hung out until she could see well enough to drive.
I'm thankful she came because on the way home we saw two deer on the side of the road. She took several pictures. The one above is the best of them.

I am thankful that Veterans Day was nice of all of us to remember our brave men and women for serve our nation defending our freedoms.

@just4him Even though Veterans Day is in the shadow of Memorial Day, it is important to remember the military persons who served our nation.

I dont see a deer but the lady in the picture is lovely.

Thank you for your service.
Glad your son's girlfriend was able to go to the store with you and stayed with you for a while afterward.
I'm thankful for not having to go anywhere today. After a busy week of errands, appointments, and church, it was nice to stay in.
