A tree on a wall!

A tree growing in the wall

Yes, you read that right and saw it right too! This tree grows on the wall of the parking lot where I usually park my bike at work. It looks like there was some parts of the wall that were remodeled, but this tree still managed to survive. I wonder how it does that and where its roots actually go. It's up about one storey high on the wall!

That is one pretty determined tree! It's amazing how they manage to survive with so little soil to cling to.

And it's so precariously balanced that I am surprised that it hasn't fallen off.

@pitstop Who knows. Just watch it and see. Water and sunshine is what it needs.

That is a strange sight. The wall must be starting to rot.

It looks like it's crumbling apart.

It's amazing how nature fights to survive.

This doesn't look like a Banyan tree. Maybe it's similar or the same family.

@pitstop Ficus religiosa - that's the scientific name, to be precise...
