A great horned owl who was trapped in the front grille of a pickup truck when he was chasing his prey in Colorado Springs on Monday night is lucky to be alive when a Colorado Parks and Wildlife Official named Travis Sauder answered the emergency call from the driver of the pickup truck.
What I know of owls is that they are prone to get into accidents with motor vehicles since they cannot avoid a collision with an auto when they fly at a low altitude.
Even though the owl was trapped in the front grille of the truck, as soon as Officer Sauder did rescue the owl, the owl is lucky that none of his wings are broken.
Officer Sauder did take the owl with him to recover from his injuries at a not for profit rehabilitation facility named Nature and Wildlife Discovery in Pueblo.
I am sure that the owl will make a full recovery and return to his home soon.

The look in the face on the owl makes me sad but grateful that the wildlife official did save him.

@Deepizzaguy I know, I thought of Cotton the owl, at the local park here that was rescued. But she had a broken wing.

That owl should have read the road signs
I hope it has a good recovery.
