Would You Buy Bunk-Beds for an Only Child?

Watching a comedy-special, I learned that the special's comedian was 'an only child' (i.e. one without brothers or sisters) always had bunk-beds. Whenever his friends came over for a sleepover, they were always a little creeped-out by 'the empty bunk'---like he was "a widow" (though that's what you call a surviving wife ... I don't know if that's what you call a surviving brother). I didn't get bunk-beds until my little brother was 8 or 9 or 10. I guess I'd have been okay with them if I'd had them before then, but ... I don't know; would YOU have liked them. Do you think your 'only child' would?

I don't see anything wrong with having bunk beds in an only child's bedroom. One could be a couch and the other a bed or one could be for extra storage space while the other is slept in or for sleepovers.

Yes, I can't see anything wrong with this. Perfect for when friends stay over. And I know my Little One would love trying out both bunks!
