Firefighters rescue a puppy who overdosed on Fentanyl

Thanks to the actions of the Coldwater Firefighters who have the knowledge of dealing with persons who overdose on Fentanyl were able to save a mixed breed make puppy named Whip who is female dug a fentanyl patch from the trash when Whip must have sniffed it and passed out on Saturday..
Whip's owners took the unconscious dog to the local fire department when the firefighters used Narcan on Whip to revive her on the spot.
Whip is now being watched by the firefighters since they will watch their dog to be taken care by a veterinarian Whip is expected to make a full recovery.
The owners of the dog are not being charged with a crime since they are not drug addicts and the dog simply sniffed the drugs out of a trash can by an act of being curious.

That’s just reckless and irresponsible. Obviously also dangerous. They didn’t think a dog could get into a trash can? Fortunately the dogs ok, but people need to watch where they throw things out.
