Saudi Arabia staged a big upset of this world cup football being held in Qatar.
They beat Argentina by 2-1.
In the 10th minute, Argentina went ahead courtesy a penalty kick awarded to Lionel Messi who scored off it.
However, Saudi team came back courtesy a goal in the 48th minute and then the 53rd minute.
Argentina tried to create a lot of chances but couldn't get the required space due to tight Saudi defence.

Yes, it opens up the field and motivates lesser ranked teams.

@youless
Saudi Arabia and more Asian and African nations have players playing in different leagues in Mainland Europe as well as England (EPL).
Plus with modern coaching and technology, gaps are getting lesser between the top teams and others.
Yet an upset win worth remembering!!

Surely they can unless they get too disheartened.
Still it would be a result worth remembering!!

Yeah, I watched the game. After conceding a goal at the start of the match due to Messi's penalty kick, I thought Saudi Arabia would lose in the end. It turns out that the Saudis never gave up. Argentina ended up losing 1 - 2 at the end of the game.
Bravo to Saudi Arabia..

Yes, a big upset win. Such wins are rare in Football and especially World Cup football.
