Thursday Musings: Cold Weather, Football World Cup N More

As the month of December ' 22 begins, the cold weather is increasing its grip. A cold breeze was blowing around 7 in the morning. The Morning cup of tea is so warming and refreshing now! I think I might have some more tea a bit later. I wanted to write more about the developments in the ongoing Football World Cup but so many other things don't give me much time these days. Australia advanced to the last 16 after winning against Denmark by 1-0. Tunisia got a surprise win vs France but did not advance as well as Mexico also failed to advance to the last 16 round. So a lot of turbulence in the WC already with even the likes of Germany and Argentina battling it to make to the next round. The cold weather is making me lazier in the morning but now with less WFH and more of offline mode, one has to get up on time. So what's up at your end?

Stormy night here last night. Thankfully all is well now. Thunderstorms all night. Tornado warnings but all safe here.

@CarolDM Oh that means no outdoor activity. Plus bigger storms always means being cautious. Stay safe N warm! How are Brendel and Dude doing?

@RebeccasFarm Sometimes during end December to end January, sometimes day temperatures in Northern plains go down to 10 to 11 C and minimums to 2 to 3 C. Record lows of almost freezing - below 1 C have also been recorded sometimes.

@RebeccasFarm Quite tough for us folks who also endure 40 to 45 C max in the summers. The technical term is "Continental" Climate!

Here is the eastern area of the USA it is cold, breezy and rainy! Ugh! That makes me hurt due to some medical issues. Actually I wish I was in Florida where it is warmer.

@dfollin At times, cold and windy weather can be a challenge. My younger child is sick due to cold and fever and we need to go to the Doctor today.

@JudyEv Yes. Many might have considered Denmark as a better team. However they overcame Denmark and others and entered the round of 16.
