Another late start, but not so bad.

George is literally counting down the days. He's decided Dec 10 is his last day at work, but will hang on in the system an additional week because he wants to ensure he didn't earn any vacation. We're not sure he will, because for the vast majority of the year, he barely worked part-time. So, he shouldn't. He wants me to check, though. But the system can be behind a little so I have to wait until after payday. So, he's going to let them know not to kick him out of the system before then.
The sun is out and it's warm. Next week I'm seeing a high in the 60's for a day, but knowing Florida this time of year that'll bounce right back up. Our solar system is working great because of the sunlight.

Well I am glad to hear George has decided. It will be good to make sure he gets whats due yes.
A nice temp there in the 60s..it is around or near that here today too.

Yeah, the summers can be brutal, especially dry summers. Last year was one of the worst.

@NanaMc That really does suck, I am thankful my house does have heat and air. I don't think I'd be able to live without it. In fact, I know I wouldn't.

@kaylachan They are ridiculous, and I know of a person or two down in the Orlando area and have to rely only on fans to keep them cool in the summer bcuz they have no air conditioning.

I have mixed feelings about it, but I also know I need to respect his choices. I don't want to lose him because of the job.

I bet you're both looking forward to his retirement. I retired a few years early and don't regret a moment of it.

I admit, I'll miss the peace and quiet him being away at work offers, but I don't think it'll be a big deal. I just have to adjust how and when I do things, to work around him. Since he's done these long "vacations" t this past year, I think I can handle it.
