I read this endearing article online and thought I would like to share.
The article says they have been writing to each other since 1938. Wow. Both they, and the world has changed a lot since then. What a nice thing to have a friend for that long.
The article details their first video call with each other. I guess they switched from written letters to emails, and now their first voice call. Technology only one of the things to change drastically in the 80 some years they've been friends.
The look pretty dandy for being 100!

Geoff Banks from Devon, UK, and Celesta Byrne from Texas, US, started writing to each other when they were both in their 20s, and have continued their friendship ever since.

It's amazing to watch them be pen buddies for so long. I admire them for sticking around all these years because it seems they never ran out of topics to talk about or shared interests. Although the times and the way they communicate have already changed, their relationship and bond have endured for many years.

That's amazing. Thanks for sharing the story. When I was studying in university, I had a pen pal and we had been writing to each other for about ten years. After almost 30 years, we some find each other on Facebook. We are excited and now exchange emails once in a while.
