I have been showing signs of starting Menopause and it just keeps getting crazier. I swear each day I learn more and more about Menopause and what women have been going through. So I have noticed that I all of a sudden been having a racing heart beat. Yes I googled diagnosed myself and what I can do to help without going to a doctor taking medicine. The two biggest things was to cut out Caffeine and Alcohol. So yesterday I cut out both and I didn't notice it for most of the day. This morning I convinced myself it was all in my head and drank a Starbucks Frappuccino in the jars. It started happening again. So now I am pretty sure that I need to cut out these things. It is going to be hard but I need to worry about my health more than the comfort of consuming what I like. Have you gone through Menopause? What was some side effects you noticed?

I have gone through Menopause and I have been one of the few lucky women who had no effects at all.

I’m pretty sure I haven’t gone through menopause yet haha Sorry, don’t mean to poke fun of what you’re going through. I got sick with the flu at the beginning of November, which turned into pneumonia and now RSV. Anyway, when I got sick I quit drinking caffeine (which was pretty much what I lived off of), and just the withdrawal effects alone probably made me feel worse than the actual flu did. But I haven’t had a drop of caffeine in over 6 weeks now. I had no definitive plans to give it up, but now that I’ve gone this long I find I don’t crave coffee, soda or energy drinks anymore. I’ve noticed a positive change in my health and how I feel. So, anyway, the point is that cutting that stuff out of your diet can have immediate positive changes to your body. Good luck in your health journey!

Aww man, men are so lucky lol I have tried to give it up in the past, but it has just been a weight loss thing. So I would allow stress to make me drink it again. Now that it is more "health" I am hoping it will stick better. I am ready for some positive changes in my life!

@Meggan I have the same problem when it comes to stress. I immediately reach for a coffee or soda when I get stressed. I’m trying really hard to create good habits by keeping lots of water and healthy juice close by so I go for that instead of unhealthy drinks.

thanks for sharing the experience. My wife has not reached that phase. But I have heard from neighbours that there is some hormone change at this time. Stay well
