When you enjoy something, you want to share that feeling with someone. It can be expressed in many positive ways. So, let's take a look at this week's song titles and the artists who put those "Sweet Emotions" into some wonderful tunes. See if you share my fondness for them...
1. "Shout"- The Isley Brothers
-Does anyone remember this one from the 1978 movie "Animal House" which features "Shout" in a famous scene where the fraternity brothers dance to it. "WELLLLLLLLLLL... " Now wait a minute! The Isley's recorded this classic in "1959." I bet a DJ or two played this song at somebody's wedding.
2. "I Feel Fine"- The Beatles
-The first note of this song marked the first-time feedback was used on a major release. If you play this tune, you can distinctly hear the distorted note on Paul's bass guitar. It did not affect the song's popularity as it reached the #1 spot in 1964.
TRIVIA CHALLENGE
***Now for our trivia music challenge for those who like to play along. See if you can guess these selections. Words in "quote marks" provide valuable clues!
Name this week's tune, artist or facts:
1. This song capitalized on "Chubby Checker's" earlier tune which started a "twist" dance craze. The singing "brothers" decided to use "that word in the title" plus the "title of their song from 1959." This tune was covered by "The Fab Four" in 1964 and became a "huge hit," for them. They ended many of their concerts with it. This song was so "uplifting" it made you want to (yell)" __________" with joy!
-Do you know the name of this vocal group and their song which became a #2 hit for The Beatles? "Well, shake it up, baby, now." lol
2. Usually getting "hurt" is a bad thing but in this song by this "Indiana artist" it's actually "just the opposite." This singer was talked into changing his name to "Johnny Cougar" by his manager for his first two albums, but after a few hits, finally recorded under his real last name. This song was his first major breakthrough on the record charts and other hits followed like "I Need a Lover," " Ain't Even Done with the Night," and "Jack & Diane."
-Do you know this midwestern artist whose heartland rock found a place on the record charts, and can you name his song with the contradictory title?
Bonus: The band Aerosmith from this week's video selection has had quite a music career starting all the way back to their first major hit in 1973. You could say it's been a sweet "___________" for the group ever since.
Do you know the name of that 1973 hit song?
If you don't know some of these artists/songs on this quiz don't "scream and shout" at me. " If you're stuck and need additional hints just let me know in your response. I'll be glad to supply one. Or, as Sam and Dave would say, "Hold On, I'm Comin."
Thanks for reading and responding to my music post!!! I will return with a new edition soon. Hope you can wait till then, lol. Stay tuned...

1. If I don’t name those brothers who aren’t the Smothers you’re gonna knock and ring and tap until I do! Loved that song (“I’m Gonna Knock On Your Door”), as well as twisting and shouting to the famous Isleys tune you’re referencing.
2. When Weird Al hosted MTV on April Fools Day 1984 he played all 12 different versions of “Leave It” by Yes (and why they made 12 different versions of that video, I’ll never know). Anyway, in his “MTV News” spoof he announced that John Cougar, who had just changed his name to John Cougar Mellencamp, announced that he was going to add a name with each subsequent album. The next album would be by John Cougar Mellencamp Schwartz.
That’ll make you hurt so good, won’t it!
3. I’m not a big Aerosmith fan, so they don’t give me a lot of sweet emotion, but “Dream On” is a classic, and I love their rendition of “Big Ten Inch Record.”
Merry ho-ho to you!!!

@LindaOHio It "never hurts to ask," and btw "Hurt is part of the title for #2"
Just add the opposite meaning of "bad" and you've got it!
"Dream _____" if you think I'm giving you the answer to the Aerosmith bonus question. Yep, some ________ are sweet others are nightmares.
Well, for sure as shootin' #1 is correct as is the artist for #2
Enjoy a little "Shout" for your effort!

A big "Shout Out" to you OT for getting the first two correct
Aerosmith's first big hit was "Dream On." a ballad. Their guitarist Joe Perry did not like the song at the time because it wasn't straight rock n' roll. Bet he appreciated the royalty checks when DJ's played that tune all the time back in the day...
Here's a thumbs up to a great classic, enjoy!
