Movie Marathon In My Immediate Future

Don't we all have certain movies we like to see during the holidays? I have several vintage holiday movies that I like to watch. I decided that I am going to watch them all in one day, probably tomorrow. (Can you believe it will be Christmas Eve?) I am going to list here the ones I enjoy watching each year and plan on having in the marathon:
1) The Christmas Carol is an oldy but goody. You know the Charles Dickson story. It has been done and redone but the one I enjoy most is the 1938 version with Reginal Owen as Scrooge.
2) The Shop Around the Corner is one I found about three or four years ago on TCM. It has James Stewart and Margaret Sullavan as coworkers in a Budapest gift shop. They are both writing to people they met answering a lonely-hearts ad. It's a great romance. A sort of love/hate thing. Enjoyable and go back for it each year now.
3) It Happened on Fifth Avenue is a sweet and rather sentimental movie about a hobo who moves into a New York mansion each winter while its owner is vacationing down south. He lets some folks move in and it is a sweet tale of the interaction between these folks. Love it. Have to see it each year.
4) Christmas in Connecticut has Barbara Stanwyck and a host of others including a favorite of mine, S.Z Sakall, who is a rolly polly character actor that always adds a bit of mirth and charm to anything he is in. He is a real favorite of mine. It is the story of a columnist who has lied about her cooking expertise and when her boss insists on being her guest for Christmas she has to move fast to come up with a home, a baby, a husband, and a cook.
5) White Christmas is one I may not even watch all the way through. I've seen it so many times I know it by heart. But the last half hour or so is some footage I have to see each year.
6) The Bishop's Wife has Loretta Young, Cary Grant and David Niven in and is such a charming and wonderful movie I recommend it to each and every one of you. Cary plays Dudley, an angel who comes to help the bishop and falls for his wife. It is a really sentimental, feel-good movie I love to see each year.
I also watched A Christmas Affair with Robert Mitchum and Janet Leigh. She is a secret shopper and gets him fired because he doesn't report her when he finds her to be a secret shopper. She has a son and he wants a train for Christmas and oh, what a mess comes of it all.
I will also watch Holiday Inn with Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire. It used to be shown on TCM but, for the last few years, it hasn't been. I delved into it and found the reason why. It seems that there is a scene where Bing has his face painted black to portray a black man. Needless to say, the TCM channel decided to not show it anymore. I bought the CD and continue to watch it. I can overlook this one scene and enjoy this lovely movie. I usually watch it New Year's Eve or day.
Oh, and can't forget The Grinch Who Stole Christmas with Jim Carey.
Do you have certain ones you enjoy seeing each year?

@celticeagle I found it last night. It was just coming on and I saw the whole thing. So I didn’t miss it after all.

Did you know that You Got Mail was based on Shop Around the Corner? We like to watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and The Christmas Story.
