In Bhutan there is fun walking on the fields of red rice.

In Paro in Bhutan the agriculture is done in the terraces. Bhutan is situated in the Himalayas with height above 9000 feet. Bhutan is famous for red rice plantations. We walked in the farmland and realized that the farming done by cutting terraces and continued with cover farming is very scientific.

thanks DE it is called kurta or punjabi in bengali. Actually the hills are very cold in Bhutan and the valleys are pleasant

thanks Jojo red rice is not as tasty as the white rice. Our Bardhaman baskati variety of boiled rice is more tasty. But there is a lot of food value of the red rice
