The song was released in 1991 on the Spin Doctors album Pocket Full of Kryptonite. I remember well when it was all over the radio. I haven't heard it in a long time, though. I just saw a tweet that said the person had made a dessert and his mother-in-law took one bite and threw it in the garbage so he made it a second time absolutely heavenly just to spite her.
Chris Barron, the lead singer of the Spin Doctors, quoted the tweet and said he wrote the song "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" about his stepmother who hated him and who told him he would wind up as a janitor in a school playing guitar in the basement for the rats.
Whoa. That's heavy. I just went and read the lyrics and I have to say that it totally makes sense. The music is so upbeat and bouncy that it is easy to miss the very serious message in the song. I learned something new today.

A lot of artists write and sing songs based on their life experiences.
