Teachers shouldn't be used as marketing tools by educational institutions.

The role of a teacher is loosing these days in India. A teacher is supposed to impart knowledge and the overall development of a student. However nowadays most educational institutions in India are using teachers as marketing tools. A organization named 'planet spark ' recently selected me as a teacher but it was a pseudo selection. Soon after a online training was started where we were lectured how to convince the students at the demo class to join their organization immediately. Now we were asked to record a mock demo class where we were expected to repeat whatever was scripted in the ppt slides and create an urgency to join the organization even lie that the teacher(I) didn't have many slots. It's here that I failed. I am not the least unhappy about the rejection. I better not be hired an a agent which I am not good at. I believe in my knowledge as teacher and have imparted it sincerely in 30 years of my teaching and will be doing it whenever I get a chance.

I am searching for students to teach online. I did have my own tuition students from India and abroad but I had to stop as I was not keeping well from 2019. I want to start online teaching and freelance content writing once more and am searching for an opportunity.

It is a very sad situation for teachers. That organization sounds as if to make you a sales person, not impart teaching. Glad you were not in it.

It indeed is a sad situation and that's the reason the standard of education is deteriorating.

That's really disgusting for the parents who spend so much.
