In the Padmaja Naidu Mountaineering Institute in Darjeeling there is a museum where the history relating to Everest expedition of Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary is exhibited. Tenzing Norgay from India and Edmund Hillary from New Zealand climbed on top of Mount Everest for the first time. Adjacent to that there are artificial rocks being created where children are trained how to climb steep rocks and mountains.

That's a very nice add-on activity there for the children to explore. Went to Darjeeling when I was a kid, need to visit again and soon.

Children could learn various things from these types of activities, also they can become physically fit and healthy. But I've never learned mountain climbing, but as a kid, I have climbed big mountains as we can only travel by foot in the different villages in our area. Now, that I live in the city, I'm missing these Mother Nature activities. What with the air pollution, etc.

thanks Jenaisle every physical activity is good for health. Whether it is swimming or cycling or rock climbing. I agree your youth with nature is indispensable
