The mustard flower is eaten as mustard fry in Calcutta.

While the mustard is used to make oil and mustard paste in Calcutta there are other uses of mustard in the fields. The yellow flowers are used to make fry with besan. It is called sarse bara in bengali. The newly harvested mustard leaves and the mustard flowers have a lot of lovely flavour. People love to have them in winter.

There are some mustard lands in my country. They are quite beautiful to see the bloomsom. People like to take photos in the mustard fields
