Fireworks on New Year's Night Instead of New Year's Eve

Well now that was different. I thought we had avoided fireworks in our neighborhood this year since there weren't any last night on New Year's Eve.
But at 7:30 pm I took our dog for a walk down the street and there were fireworks coming from a rental venue down the hill from us. They only lasted a few minutes but I thought it odd that they were a day late and mentioned that to my dog, Jenny!
Did you have fireworks in your neighborhood on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day?
Oh and a happy new year to everyone!

That's the norm. I thought it was quite odd to have them going off tonight. And it wasn't even dark...just dusk.

Our neighborhood had fireworks near the home just around midnight which lasted about one hour before they were finished due to fog in the area.

Yes there were a few loud bangs tonight. Just enough to upset my Rufus.
