Grace Perrine who is the owner of a female cat named Scarlet ran after a squirrel on Wednesday December 27 in her own backyard in Berea Virginia who ended up a tree in a height of 50 feet above the ground. Since the tree did not have any branches growing horizontally for Scarlet to use so she could be rescued, Grace had to use Facebook to ask for help since the local fire department tried to rescue Scarlet failed since the cat fled from the firefighters who gave up trying to rescue the cat. Grace found the answer for her prayers when Brett Parker who is employed by Match Cut Tree Bro's LLC. Brett took the challenge to rescue Scarlet by using a lasso to climb up a tree and used his lasso to save the cat who had nothing to eat and drink to rescue Scarlet and bring him down to earth and reunited with her owner on New Year's Eve afternoon. Brett being a nice person decided to rescue Scarlet free of charge. Grace is very thankful owner who promises to keep a sharper eye on Scarlet from now on. I will give my respects to Brett for having the knowledge of rescuing a cat by the use of a lasso to climb a tree and rescuing a cat.

I'm surprised the cat didn't jump. Cats are good at landing on their feet.

My thinking if the cat tried to jump off a tree at a height of 50 feet to the ground without being caught by a net, the cat would break some bones on the landing.

@Deepizzaguy Could be, But cats are know for jumping long distances. This one might have been a scaredy-cat. When we had cats they climbed to the roof and jumped off.

@RubyHawk The catch was that there was not a horizontal branch where the cat could have jumped at all.

Congratulations to Brett, it's not easy to rescue cats, they get scared and it's hard to reach them.

@Deepizzaguy It took a while before the cat I rescued trusted me totally. I can imagine a poor cat trapped on a tree.

@LadyDuck If I was a cat stuck up in a tree high above the ground with no food or water for a few days, I would also be scared.

I am in agreement with you that rescuing a cat is a very hard job to deal with since cats do not like to touched by strangers a lot of the time.

I am in agreement with you that Brett is the hero who rescued the cat since the firefighters could not catch him since the cat would flee from them while Brett was able to catch the cat and return the cat to her owner free of charge.

I like what Brett did since he answered the call for help on a day where he could have said no due the day being New Year's Eve.

I definitely tip my hat to him. I know the owner was thrilled. Four days is a long time. Good job.
