I've got a stinking cold!

So, I didn't go to Church on Sunday and I'm not going to the little Tesco today. And the reason for that is because I have got a stinking cold!
It started on Saturday I think, anyway I told my Mum that I might not be going to Church on Sunday. She said that I might be feeling better by then.
No. I was feeling ten times worse. I stayed in bed till 10:00am on Sunday morning, like I usually do on a Saturday. When I did get up I didn't feel like any breakfast and I just had a cup of tea.
Mum had gone to Church. I put on my Sam Ryder CD on which made me feel a bit better. When Mum came home I was still listening to it.
I didn't have much lunch either, I just had my dessert and a cup of tea. When I stopped listening to my Sam Ryder CD I started feeling groggy again! For tea I had some peaches in juice and one of my little yoghurts, plus another cup of tea. (Green tea).
I had some blackcurrant Lemsip on Saturday night before I went to bed. There were only 3 sachets left in the old Lemsip. I had another Lemsip again before I went to bed on Sunday.
On Monday I was still feeling gross. I did manage to have a little bit of breakfast with blueberries on top. I did do the laundry yesterday even though I was feeling lousy, but I told my Mum I wasn't going to be standing pegging them up on the dryers because I had a bit of a giddy head. She said she'd peg them up herself.
For lunch on Monday I had a Chicken and bacon pasta bake which I did manage to eat. For dinner I was going to have a Risi i Bisi, but when I came to eat it I didn't seem to have the appetite. I did manage to eat a little bit, but then I chucked the rest out. My Mum asked me if I'd like some salad instead. I said I could have some lettuce. I did manage the lettuce quite easily.
Mum went to the little Tesco yesterday to get some cold remedies for me and a few other things. She got me some more Lemsip, this time lemon flavour, some soothers and some strepsils, honey and lemon flavour. She wanted to get some Buttercup Syrup cough mixture aswell but she couldn't find any.
Last night before I went to bed I had the last of the blackcurrant Lemsips. Tonight I will start on the new lemon flavoured Lemsips.
This morning when I got up I was still feeling gross. I managed to have a little breakfast with blueberries on top and another cup of green tea. For lunch I'm hoping to have some more lettuce if there's any left. Mum is going to go to the little Tesco some time today and I've asked her if she can try and get some more lettuce.
So, I hope you are feeling better than I am.
Have a nice day.

Lucky you! How did you manage that? I had a few years where I didn't get a cold but then they started coming back again! I just did not feel I could stomach any soup.

@sharonelton l changed my diet. Some foods and drinks l used to crave, l have not touched in years. Of course l still have other hereditary health issues and l am coping, but colds are no longer on the agenda.

@Kandae11 Me too! I stopped eating a lot of the stuff I used to eat like meat, dairy, eggs and sugar. I have an underactive thyroid.

Poor @sharonelton . My comfort treats for a cold are ginger tea, spicy food, hot bath, clean sheets, steaming my face over a bowl of hot water with lots of salt in it and lemon. I also find it good to moan a lot.

@sharonelton That steaming thing works wonders for me. Breathe slow and deep.

Thank you very much! We haven't been able to get any ginger tea. Mum's only been going to the little Tesco. I've only got the appetite for lettuce at the moment. I did have a bit of breakfast, a bit of Alpen with blueberries on top and 3 strawberries on the side, and I've had a cup of matcha green tea. I've got my lettuce out ready for lunch! I could do the steaming my face over a bowl of hot water bit!

Sorry to hear it hit you so hard. I know a lot of people have had bad colds and flu the past month or so and have found them much worse than expected, maybe because we stayed away from 'regular germs' for much of the past couple of years!

Thank you very much. I have been feeling very bonged up. It's horrible when you can't breath. Then when you breathe through your mouth for a long time it gives you a sore throat! I've got strepsils to suck and Mum is going to see if she can get me some Buttercup Syrup cough mixture when she goes out to get her repeat prescription in a few minutes.

Thank you very much, that's very kind of you. I hope so too. I keep feeling a little better, and then I feel worse again. I don't know if I'm coming or going!
