Whats for lunch? January 11th 2023

This morning we went up and repaired a step for Chris's great uncle. It had severe termite damage in it and he fell through it last week. He's in his seventies and his wife is disabled so we didn't want to chance either one of them falling through it again. After that we stopped and saw Chris's grandma and then checked on my mother-in-law before coming back into town. When we got into town we decided we wanted to sit down and have an actual lunch that neither one of us had to cook or mess with her clean up after, so that meant we went to one of the oldest restaurants in town and really one of the best restaurants in town. There is a little Mom and Pop's hamburger place called Ed's Tasty Freeze that's been around for decades that has the best milkshakes that I think I've had maybe in my entire life. I usually get a fried chicken sandwich or chicken strips but I decided that I was extra hungry today and got a third pound Southwestern cheeseburger and tater tots. I only ate half the burger and maybe three or four tater tots but it was definitely worth the price the way and now I have extra to eat later when I get hungry or the munchies. The burger came with a Southwestern sauce jalapenos pepper jack cheese lettuce and some other good toppings. I usually order my cheeseburger with just cheese bacon mayonnaise and ketchup but I wanted something a little different today. Chris got the same thing he gets every time we go the third pound cheeseburger with bacon and just mayonnaise and ketchup and regular french fries. We didn't get milkshakes this time but we did split an order of cheese sticks as an appetizer. It ended up being about 35 or 40 bucks with tip but it was fresh it was hot it was exactly what we wanted and what we ordered and I supported a small business so it was worth it.
