Better stay at home

I received a text message from National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) which says:
"NDRRMC: (8:19PM, 11Jan23) Orange Rainfall Warning sa Negros Occidental. Nagbabanta ang matinding pag-ulan, pagbaha at pagguho ng lupa."
(Orange Rainfall Warning in Negros Occidental warns of a heavy downpour, flood and landslide.)
To this effect, our conscientious Mayor issued an order to suspense all classes in all levels to let the students to stay at home for their safety.
As of this writing, classes are still suspended. It's already 3rd day in a row.

It's suspend, a verb. Not suspense as a noun.

Wow I can’t imagine everything closing down like that for so many days. I wonder how much longer until they decide the flooding isn’t going to happen and felt life resume.
