Morning Basketball

I will be leaving in a short while to go watch 4 of the boys in my class who are on the JV basketball team for our school play. It is considered a home game because we play here in town at a borrowed gym. Unfortunately, the gym at our school does not meet league requirements. Plans have been in the works for at least 20 years to raise the money to build a new gym, but the project is still in the planning phase.
I try to make it to at least one of the home games every year, though I haven't been since the pandemic. I am looking forward to watching, and the boys seemed very excited yesterday when I told them I'd be there.
Other than that and grocery shopping, my only plans for the weekend involve writing. The missus is painting the hall and stairwell. Not that it needs painting, and she's painting it a blue only 1 shade lighter than what's already there, but if she doesn't have a project, she goes stir-crazy.

That's cool, basketball was the best sport I was good at. I was good for a few years then just realized I am no where that good to even make college, but still love and know the sport pretty good. I hope they get the funds to get that little court built, because it can literately save many poor youths lives and not to even make it to college or pro but just make them good people.

Fighting the traffic to go visiting in the Northern part o the state. Enjoy basketball, painting and writing.
