If you remember the Birds at all (Eight Miles High) and if you recall Crosby, Stills & Nash or Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, then I hope you remember David Crosby. He died the other day. I guess he’d been ill for a while and he was almost one year younger than I am.
If I wanted to hear all the music he recorded in his lifetime, I can’t imagine how long it would take. His music, the lyrics and melodies he was involved in became a part of my life over the years from the ‘60s on, including his later solo albums like If I Could Remember My Name.
Despite all the abuse his voice took over the years, including drug addiction for a time, it remained clear and so good to hear.
A song he wrote for the first Crosby, Stills and Nash album, called Longtime Gone was a great one and even when he is a long time gone, he’’ be a longer time remembered.
Oh, and he was involved in the sale of $35 000,000 worth of records.

I remember the late David Crosby when he sang alongside Stills, Nash and Young from the Woodstock Festival soundtrack. I will sorely miss him.

@JamesHxstatic According to the late Casey Kasem on his hosting "America's Top 40" reruns on radio, he said the four artists were the best artist of the Rock and Roll Era.

Yes it was, Judy. I played his music for about 2 hours after I heard.

There’s so much to David Crosby’s career. The harmonies, the guitar work, the songs he wrote. What a treasure he was, and he will be so missed.

At least he lives his music for all to enjoy. One of my all-time favorites was Teach Your Children which my highschool boyfriend played on the guitar and sang and it always brings good memories since he is now passed on too,
