Is it wrong to worship the Self?

Just a question!
I am saying is it wrong to worship self? Here Self is supreme! But self is otherwise also supreme in our mind. Just when we worship self we don’t have a religious bend/approach.
If we accept ourselves as most important for our self, is it really a sin? I have seen people worshipping money above self. That vacancy seems filled up in public. But what if instead of money we have self? Here self can be taught to love others, respect all, but what if it becomes a general practice and not just an idea to worship self?
Who is more important to You than You! Why can’t we accept this fact.

It can lead to our going wrong though, as selfism, (self worship) can become selfish, and self-idolatry, so that all we think of is our own needs, and greed over the needs of others, and yet, we do need to love ourselves too, but to my mind to worship ourselves would be taking it just that bit too far.

@Aakk77 I didn't disagree, I just said what it might lead us to, taken the wrong way.
Somebody, who is always preening themselves, taking selfies of themselves, and trying to put themselves on a pedestal, aka Donald Trump, in America, is not someone who I would like to copy.
Self-worship in the way of loving ourselves, as you said, I see nothing wrong with that.
