The baby birds are back. Peppie is least bothered to try to catch them. He thinks it is childish to be doing that. It is a joy to watch these baby birds frolic in the bird bath. Normally they are seen in summer but these days it is quite cool and the water must be cold too, I tried to click them frolicking in the bird bath but the moment they saw me they flew away Have an old photo which I have uploaded. You will observe baby birds do not get into the deep. We have our bird bath tapered. Talking of birds we do not see many that used to frequent our property, specially peacocks. I see them on roads but not in our property Hope one day they will return

@RebeccasFarm If the door is open then they do not get the alert. This time I had to open the door and that was not good

It would be awesome to see a peacock strolling on my property. A peacock in all its glory.

I had loads of them but after the pandemic they do not visit us any more although I hear their ugly chirps or cries (lol) This peacock spent nights with us in our property

@allknowing The wings are closed. I do not know what their chirps sound like.

@Kandae11 While resting they do not open their feathers nor have I seen them dance. Their chirps are loud and not musical (lol) I found this link on youtube. You will hear the peacock

The cats have likely scared off or killed the birds.

@allknowing Peppie isn’t the only one around though right so another cat could be killing them?

We used to have cats that chased birds and even caught them but Peppie does not do that.

Those are very cute little birds. I'm sure they appreciate having a bird bath to frolic in.
