Did you have a cold twice in a month?

This month my father caught a cold. He shops in crowded places. His immune system is not great. I had a cold two weeks ago. I have all the colds that he has. And today my father is sick again, he stays in bed. He has another cold. I am trying hard to avoid this cold, but I can't believe that someone can have a cold twice in the same month. I can't remember when this happened. Did this happen to you? I wonder why something good doesn't happen by itself. We are healthy for a few days and we catch another cold. This is scary.

The cold virus is a champion at mutation and can change from one person to the next as it spreads. This is why some people catch cold after cold all through the season. It's also why there is no effective cure of vaccine for the common cold.

I seldom to have a cold these days , maybe only once per year. Whenever a sign of cold is coming, I quickly take a high dose of vitamin C

@dya80dya I take 2000 mg of liquid vitamin C, not the pills. Pills work slower than liquid. I take 1000 mg after lunch and the other after dinner. Usually it only needs two days to make the cold disappear

I am taking 1000 mg vitamin C. How much do you take? Does the cold disappear completely when you take vitamin C?

I've been nursing a cough and on and off fever this past week. It was only yesterday that I got better. Hope you and your father get better soon.

Thanks. I had a cold two weeks ago. It is hard to believe that I will be sick so soon. Last year I had a cold each month and it lasted 3 weeks. Each cold lasted three weeks. I am so tired of being sick.

Sorry to hear you catch cold twice a month. Thankful I seldom catch cold. Take vitamin C supplement. I'm taking Enervon C. Hoping your dad and you won't anymore have cough. Tell your dad to drink only lukewarm water or ginger tea. Massage your feet all-around day and night. Keep safe.
