If a woman has no other option but to breastfeed her hungry baby in public, is it acceptable for you? Of course, the mother's breasts are not displayed but are covered properly. What do you think of this behavior, is it appropriate or inappropriate? Why do you think so? Image is from:

I fed both my boys wherever I was at. It is a perfectly natural thing. Only people have made it shameful

YES, to what you said, Eva. No, I never did just bare myself to everyone in highly public places. I was discreet. All of this ''go to the ladies room and nurse your baby!'' is simply ridiculous. Does your older child eat in the bathroom as well? Do you, or your partner? The baby is hungry and must be fed. Don't banish mom and baby to a bathroom stall to nurse. It is one of the most normal acts in the world, feeding a hungry baby.

@MarieCoyle I tried but both my boys hated having something over their face. So the blanket often didn't stay there . I don't know how the idea of going to the bathroom ever got started. If we told an older child they had to eat in there we would be charged with child abuse

@wolfgirl569 Exactly right. It was like that when I was growing up, no one nursed anywhere but in private. And mama missed out on a lot of things. It's about feeding a baby, which is natural and normal.

As long as it is not flaunted. I think it is perfectly fine.

I've seen it when I took shelter in a house and it's really not justified if it's seen by other people.

I have no problem with it. The woman is always appropriately covered.

As long as they are covered, I don't see anything wrong with it.

I think it is natural and normal. If I found it embarrassed, then I would look at other side and try to avoid looking at it. And the mother will also feel comfortable if everybody behaves the same.

Indeed, the mother should feel comfortable for the baby to feed well.
