Weird How Life Goes

I am listening to Bus Stop by The Hollies. It suddenly reminded me of a time when I was 12 or 13 when I would go over to where my cousin was babysitting and we would listen to records. This must have been one of them we listened to because it is what drove my memory to this. My cousins and I hung out a lot together during those early years. Then when we were adults we became estranged because one of them set out in our driveway yelling at my mom. Telling her how awful she was. What had she done? After my grandmother died she(my mom) was the only one who would clean up the place and she did several estate sales too. Not for money for herself but for money to pay for the taxes on my grandparent's place. My cousins and my aunt were freeloading that had been 'borrowing' mom from my grandmother right up until she died. So their mindset was that surely my mom was taking the money she made from the estate sales for herself. Uh, no. She was paying taxes on the place. I didn't even know my aunt(only by marriage. Married to my Uncle Fred)had died until a few years back when I went to visit my grampa's grave and saw her head post. The pic of the covered bridge is from my collection.
