Germany is the new Hockey World Cup Champion

After a long time, Germany is now the new Hockey World Champion. They won the final vs Belgium at the World Cup Hockey final in India. It is a great achievement and comes to Germany after 17 years. Well, this World Cup was not as good for India as they finished at a joint 9th with Argentina although at one stage they were in the hunt for a top 4 finish. News link :

@JudyEv Well we have been waiting for that since long. The Tokyo Olympics Bronze had raised our hopes but to be factual, it takes a lot to beat Germany, Australia, Netherlands, Belgium and England in Hockey. Still hoping for better days.

@just4him Well that's Sports!! Good for some and not so good for others. Yet India didn't do well even with a renowned ex player from Australia as the coach and a lot of preparations and sponsorships.

@db20747 It's not good either. India won the Bronze in Tokyo Olympics, won many matches after that. And their world rank was 6th at the tournament starting.
