Do you feel impaired while using your smartphone?

February 7, 2023 12:07am CST
I gave up using a smartphone regularly and now use it only as an emergency device, and saw profound improvements in my health. It's been 3 years since I have had a smartphone on and with me 24/7, and when I do have it, it is off, and occasionally on and on airplane mode. i noticed an incredible reduction in my anxiety, stress, brain fog, IBS, heart palpitations, and overall feeling of fatigue. I actually noticed my brain could think faster and I could speak more fluidly. When I gave up my smartphone as a regular 24/7 tool, I was very weak and sick. I would feel hot and nauseous everytime I used it near the end of my time as a regular all day user. Has anyone got a similar experience, symptoms, story of lifestyle change that resulted in profound health improvement? If so, I'd love to hear about it!

@MALUSE I was too old when the cellphone era started. And I still think that we had a better quality of life.

I can take or leave my smart cell phone. I am on it when I am calling or talking to family.

No. I'm not addicted to it. But I sometimes turn off my phone at night.

I don't use a smartphone any more. I just use a basic mobile phone for calls and texts. I use my tablet for the internet these days. The lifestyle change that improved my health was when I started my macrobiotic diet.

I only use my smartphone for emergencies. I never liked to use it and I know that it caused health problems to my husband who is very sensitive to electromagnetic radiations.

I have heard something like this before. People are scared to be away from their phones because they may miss something important. I think it is possible to get addicted to the things. When mobile phones first became widely used, experts were warning users about the dangers of radiation from these phones. Of course we do not hear this so much now, but it could still be a danger. Maybe this is what was making you ill.
