Summer is here and the grass ain't that green anymore

The temperatures in the daytime are hitting 35° celsius easily. The early morning temperature is a touch under 20° celsius. But the grass is trying brown in a lot of places. I'm already missing the lush green that was there through December due to the great rains and cool weather we had. Soon, even the early morning chill will be gone!!

It is still winter here in Ohio in the United States; but it's been a relatively mild winter. Very strange.

@pitstop It should start really warming up in March.

Once it gets hot, the grass can quickly turn brown.

I am hoping we will have a little rain to help make them green. It will be summer all the way to September!!

@pitstop That's a long time to have brown grass.

Looks like we won't be getting that six extra weeks of winter after all.

Maybe a short spell of rain will rejuvenate it again.

Here, we have green grass all over. The weather and the soil help the grass survive the winter

Due to the long and hot summers, green grass is difficult to maintain

The afternoons are a bit too hot - nowhere near the main summer temperature of 40+ degrees Celsius though

The grass turns brown when it heats up for sure. A few more weeks until spring here.

We rarely have any time that qualifies as spring. Its winter and then suddenly transitions to summer

@pitstop Our springs are often short here as well.
