A young college student was on a news show I was listening to this morning and spoke of being huddled down in a corner during a shooting for so long that she now has what is called a "PTSD fracture". She was across the street during the latest shooting and was in this another one she spoke about a period of time. Each time she is stressed now she gets pain in her lower back in the L4 and L5 regions.
Three different areas of the brain are compromised in a PTSD situation. Being directly exposed to the same stimuli again will cause fear, pain, and trauma to be revisited.
What do you think the answer is to these random shootings across the country? Stronger gun laws? Pschye evals before guns are issued?

I think we need to pay closer attention to those with mental challenges.

Somehow. Either in schools or jobs. Schools first. Maybe with a quiz early on or something like that. Have get to the red flags before they become an issue.

@celticeagle Parents need to be more proactive too. Sometimes they are too busy to pay close attention to their children.

@LindaOHio ........So true. Such a change from the 50s when the mother was home all the time and things were so innocent.
