We went to the big Tesco on Wednesday.

So, on Wednesday we went to the big Tesco again. Mum wanted to go and get a new watch strap from the guy in the kiosk, so I said I'd meet her by the door where the post box is. I thought we could then go to the guy together. I went and deposited the soft plastics in the recycle receptacle, then proceeded to the door by the post box to wait for my Mum. After a while I saw her go past the other door that leads to the under cover car park and I thought she was going to get a trolley first. But when she still hadn't come five minutes later, I started to wonder where she was. I went into the under cover car park to see if I could see her and she was nowhere in sight. Then I thought she must have gone to the kiosk without me! I went back in the Tesco foyer and back out through the door by the post box to see if I could see her at the kiosk and then I saw her come out so I went out to meet her and I said, I thought I said meet me by the door where the post box is! and she said, Oh, you wanted to come with me? I thought you meant meet you there afterwards! We went back in and collected a trolley and went up on the lift. We got some flowers first but the ones we liked were few and far between. We did manage to get 2 of different colours. Then I went to look for a prawn layered salad but they were out of stock so I got tuna and sweetcorn pasta instead. Then I got my water. I got some soothers for my cough and then we went to the fruit and veg section. We got 2 lots of strawberries because they were really big ones and we didn't think they'd last very long. I got my blueberries but I couldn't find any spring onions. I eventually found some in the reduced section so I got 2 lots. I didn't need a lemon because I wasn't having my usual fish the next day, what with having fish and chips on Tuesday for Valentine's day. I got a small cabbage for my Japanese pancakes for pancake day this coming Tuesday. I got my yoghurts, Mum got her milk and puddings for them for Sunday. We got the usual stuff, but I couldn't get any of my favourite chilli prawn bites, so I got some vegan chicken-like pieces instead. I got some more vegan cakes. We got crisps and pringles. I got some frozen onion and broccoli for the following nights dinner to go with my tempeh. Mum got a small bag of frozen chips and some frozen ready meals and I got some cauliflower bites for Sundays tea. We went to pay, and with discounts with club card and with several vouchers my Mum had aswell, it came to just over £63! By this time it was already nearly 4:30pm and my step-dad was coming to pick us up at 4:15pm! I had to rush and swap my book at the Tesco book swap, but there wasn't much interesting there, mainly romance and boring stuff. I ended up just coming away with The Snow Kitten which I remember having as a kid! We started off towards the lift but when I looked behind me my Mum didn't seem to be following me. When she did appear she said she'd forgotten to put her spent batteries in the battery recycle receptacle so she had to go back to do it. We went down on the lift and there was my step-dad waiting for us as expected! I think he was in a bit of a mood because it took him ages to come out and open the boot for us to put the groceries in! When we got home I unpacked the groceries. Some of the frozen things had to be left out for a bit because Mum had been defrosting the freezers and the one freezer still wasn't back to the right temperature yet. Later when the freezer reached its optimum temperature we put the things in, and put the other stuff that had been squashed in the other freezer, back into the second freezer where they usually go! Are you following me? After I'd put away most of the groceries, I had my dinner and a rest while watching telly. Later, after we'd put the frozen stuff away, I put the flowers out. Then I went out and put the old flowers and the offcuts into the garden waste bin. It wasn't house group night on Wednesday so Mum stayed home and watched telly with me. I'm not going shopping today because we really haven't got much to get. Instead Mum is going to go. She says she's going to the bank aswell today although she might leave that till another day.
