She did not eat her dinner.

Luna is a nasty child. Today, as I was cleaning up, I discovered that the pigeons were eating Luna´s food and that they had filled the terrace floor with pellets as they prefer the smaller bits of food.
No wonder, I thought. Yesterday I gave her a lot of bones. I did tell her that Auntie Dixie had sent her as snacks, but I guess she decided not to listen to me. She ate them all but she was not interested in pellets.
Today something like that will happen again as I found that out when I was on my way to give her more bones and had already called her. I I can´t be so mean as to stop midway and not give her some of those delicious bones.
But now I will have to find where to place the rest of the bones. I can´t feed her only of snacks. She needs a well balanced diet.
When Dixie gave me yesterday all the bones she had saved for Luna, I wondered where she placed her own food. It was a big bag with smaller bags inside it and all of them full of bones.
It will have to go and check if there´s a space in the fridge for her "human" food.
See you.

I will not cook her food. She has to understand that human food is just for snacks.

@marguicha Yes cooking her food would be time consuming.
Have you ever consider giving her a different brand dog food?

@askme123 No. I know what to do. I´ll stop giving her snacks until she is hungry enough to eat the food she´s been eating for over 4 years. THEN I´ll give her snack again.

What she doesn´t know is that the bones are hidden.
And after she eats her food, she can have a small snack from the fridge.

I know. But still she must eat a well balanced food. Dog food keeps her healthy.

Her doggy food is now being eaten by pigeons. And they pick what they want and all the terrace has pellets on the floor. I won´t give her more bones until she eats her dog food. I put her bones in the fridge until she behaves.

All the dogs I´ve had have been German shephard. My children had a couple of Lassie dogs though.

I remember many decdes ago, I bought a puppy for the children and the owner said I should only give her special food that I had to cook. I was young and innocent and did it. My husband came home from work and said that she wanted the puppy´s food for dinner. When I tried to give her dog food she would not eat it. Now I know better.
