In Bhutan the farmlamds are situated in terraces.

It is a great experience to see all the farmland being created in terraces. In countries where major part is covered by the Himalayas all the farmlands are required to be created in the terraces. Bhutan is one of those countries. The rice plantations, potato plantations and other crops are all situated in the terraces.

I see terrace farming here where I live at the edge of the Ozark Mountains. Not a lot of it but some people do use it.

The picture captures a nice view!
I have seen terrace farms in Hilly states like Himachal Pradesh have Rice, Potato and Barley plantations.
Did you manage to eat any local delicacy?
