That's what we had for dinner last night and we had leftovers tonight for dinner. It was really good and I served it with steamed broccoli and cranberry sauce.
I don't usually make any of Ree Drummond's recipes (The Pioneer Woman) because they usually have a very high fat content. But I tweaked this recipe a bit and it was really good, without too much fat.
Do you know who Ree Drummond is and have you ever made any of her recipes?

Does this have dough at the bottom like a normal pie?

No, some chicken pot pie recipes do, but this one only calls for a crust over the top. That made creating it much easier.

Yes, that is true but she didn't live back then. She is alive now and lives on a ranch with her husband and grown kids and I guess they must work off ll of the fat and calories! She has a TV show here in the states. It's a cooking show.

Yes, delicious but unhealthy...I would think it unhealthy for anyone, even if you live on a ranch. Can you imagine what all of that butter and full cream is doing o her family's arteries?

This was the first one I made. I had to tweak it to make it a bit more healthy for us.

Thanks. I was surprised it was so good even though I changed some of the ingredients and made them heart-healthy.
