Such a Saturday as this ...

... should be a great day for getting some writing done. Pfff, not so far. Having just published another Lakes Region Love Story, I find myself left with too many options about what to tackle next. Do I work on a third story in this series, a first story for my Buzby Beach Short Reads series, finish revising the next Buzby Beach Novel, or - ? And that's my issue. I have so many irons in the fire I'm not sure which one to pound into shape first. I have tried making a list to prioritize the order I would work on them. That didn't last long. Maybe I should just go downstairs and watch TV. How was/is your Saturday shaping up? PS:The lobster using the computer is what my students saw the other morning when they arrived in class.

They didn’t say, “Oh, no, Mr. Davis is in a crabby mood,” did they? Have a great day, whatever you do!

No. But they did object to the sardines. I assured them there would be no sardines stinking up the classroom.

@TheHorse — it’s a study on the B-52s’ “Rock Lobster.”

I want to know what lesson was being taught. As you know, I have late onset Asperger's, and take things literally: "Um. That's a lobster."

Goodness. You need to get your sleep, or you'll wind up as tired as I am all the time these days.

@thislittlepennyearns Sleep is overrated. Sometimes I feel like it's a waste of time.

I bet the kids thought the lobster was great. I always know what I need to do, the problem is getting down to business.

The stuffed lobster, his name is Lucious, was my compromise on a class pet a few years ago. The kids love him. He will probably stay with the classroom when I retire if my replacement is okay with it.

Thanks for the PS. I was worried you'd been spending too much time in the sun.

I felt it necessary as I wouldn't want anyone to become unduly concerned.

@TheHorse Ah, a "Weekend Worrier." I gave up on worrying when it finally sank in that no matter how much I worried, I wouldn't change a thing. I suppose I succumbed to laisses fairness.

Maybe that's my problem, not exactly true, I jump from one thing to another. I have so many things I want to do that it's hard to decide what to do next..

I know exactly what you mean. When faced with too many things to do, I tend to shut down and get nothing done.

@RubyHawk I try to do that. Sometimes, I even succeed.

@DWDavis That seems to be what I do. I need to start one thing and forget about everything else until it's finished.

Maybe just start on one - any old one. You could waste all day thinking about it.
