Did my duty for Tournament Weekend, and then some

This weekend is the annual basketball tournament for the conference my school plays in. We are hosting the tournament this year. The opening ceremonies and first round of games were held yesterday afternoon and evening.
I attended the opening ceremonies. We "surprised" our principal, who is retiring this year after 33 years with the school, with 33 roses presented one and two at a time by the school faculty and staff. She stopped me and turned me to face the crowd, informing them that this would be my last EIC tournament as well since I was also retiring.
This is my second time helping host the tournament since I became a teacher, but the 5th time overall, as K and I volunteered for each of the three the school hosted while our sons attended.
After opening ceremonies, I reported for duty selling tickets to the gym where the JV Boys and Girls games were being played. I would up working a second shift when the mom who was to take over for me realized she'd volunteered to work during the time her son's game was being played. She insisted we trade off quarters so I could also get a chance to watch my students play. It was a close game, but in the end, the other team squeaked out a narrow victory over our lads.
Having done my duty, the rest of the weekend is mine to do with as I please, as long as it pleases the missus to let me.
What are your plans for the weekend?

@wolfgirl569 A border collie does need to be kept active and engaged. Did you have any luck with finding chickens.

@DWDavis If adult chickens would go cheap I will buy a few to start getting Patch trained with those. But except for that not really looking to buy. It's also a good outing to wear a border collie out

We only have Sunday left for us now and Vince's Iranian hair-dresser, his wife and two children are coming tomorrow for lunch. The kiddies are little so it might be one of those occasions where it's nice to see them come and nice to see them go!
