Not Many Likeable Characters

K has been watching the Masterpiece Theater show Sanditon, based loosely on an unfinished Jane Austen story. I have watched a few episodes with her and reached the conclusion that out of the huge number of regular characters on the show, there are only one or two truly likeable characters. Charlotte Heywood, Arthur Parker, and Lord Babbington are okay.
The rest of the characters, over a dozen, are, for various reasons, just not characters one can empathize with it. Some are despicable, as some should be. The rest just seem superfluous.

Just curios on your take of the Last of US pretty good outside when they go to like you said into over characterizing is what I what I call it. Two episodes that they just killed to much time and I know they gonna rush the ending.
I am not big on shows like that because put me to sleep and you just go we get the point after awhile. No need to over do it. and rest of show will do it with what we did not get.

Sounds okay DW. I may check it out if I can find it. I like those shows.
When I find I do not like a character, I think well, he must be acting it well then.

Maybe that’s why it went unfinished.
