Rabbi, Artev Brenoski, had been asked by one of his students if God ever used force on his creation, and if he loved his creation, perhaps love is a type of force too, in its way. Does God ever use force to force situations to be as he wants them to be in our lives? The good Rabbi replied like this: "God is never idle with any life; he plays an active part in all." "And yes, he does force certain experiences to occur in your life to give you a chance to up your ante, and to respond in new ways that give you spiritual growth, and insight, in your life." "God is more than just a force, and so is love." "God is love, and his love goes out from him as a great energy of motion, but it is also like a warm blanket, not like a forceful wind." "God gives you chance after chance to live your life from love too, but when you do not do so, he moves in mysterious ways to bring effects on your life, that will make you do an uptake in your thoughts, and rethink where you are, and turn your life around for the good." "These mysterious ways involve force of a kind, to manipulate situations to come about in certain ways to confront you in such a way that you have a new chance to see past greed into love." "God has a plan for each life, which he will not force onto anyone, but he will allow this plan to be shown to you through ways that border on force at times." "God speaks his mind to each one of us through the experiences and situations that he fashions for us in our lives." "God's word is powerful, and is a force that created the world." God uses his word in speaking to us too, but when we do not hear his words, he goes into action, and forces certain happenings in our lives to be so, to try to wake us up from our slumbering." I think God doesn't intervene in our lives.

I, myself, would not be happy with a God who didn't intervene in my life. I believe, at various times in our lives, God brings about a meeting of sorts, usually through the guise of someone coming into our life, when we most need the help. In the Christian Bible, God also plays an active role, intervening in many a persons life there. The life of Saint Paul is one such example.

@dya80dya When God seems silent to me, I usually read scripture, or pray, and then I start feeling him closer again, and hearing his message to me.

@innertalks Yes, this happened to me twice. Someone appeared in my life when I needed help. But sometimes God seems silent.

God is a very big part of my life. He is there with me through the good and the bad.

I think that God is willing to play a big part in everyone's life, if they let him. He is with everyone, and is responsible for doing some things in everyone's life, l think. God helps us without our knowing so sometimes, or without us crediting him for the help.

It seems that God uses force on his creation all the time. He is forced to use force for if he did not use force we could not exist. He will continue to use force so that we can continue living now and into eternity. However, we can cut of his force at any time if we choose to. Doing so, requires that we use our force against his force. He does not force us to accept his force. It is a choice we make. It benefits us to accept his force and choose to let our force work with his force and then and only then we can enjoy a happy and eternal existence.

Well, God does force us into our body, and he chooses our country of birth, our parents, and our personality, and other characteristics too, such as whether we are male, or female, for example. Most of the way the world is, is a given too, forced onto us too. Some aspects of his force, we can never cut off. We cannot stop breathing, or we will die, so the condition that we have to breathe to live is forced upon us too. I also think that we cannot live a full, and usefully, loving life here for God, without our accepting God's force in our lives. God does not force us to love him, but he does set things up in such a way, that if we do not follow his ways for our life, our life is largely spent in vain, and we not reach then our full potential with which he created us for. Without God's force behind us, we are puny beings indeed. I agree that it benefits us to accept God's force into our lives.

God only uses force if he has to.

Yes, I would agree with you there, and at times, God allows others to use force on us too, as warranted, by the way, that we are living our lives.

We live within the ambit of creation and there is no unlimited freedom without consequences. We reap what we sow and that is inbuilt into the system we are under. We may get away with playing foul but our actions will catch up with us in no time. It is then tough love from God to see that those who play by the rules are not disadvantaged by those who ride roughshod over them. However, we see innocents getting killed with the perpetrators going Scot-free for now. Hopefully, the long arm of law (God) will hold them accountable. God does not micro manage though. To that extent we have freedom to express our individuality.

In the Christian Bible though, God did micro-manage the Jews. He gave Noah the exact measurements to build the ark as he wanted it built. Contrary to popular knowledge, he gave over 600 commandments to the Jews, not just the well-known ten, that most people know. Every facet of their life was micro-managed by God, from eating to washing. God was a nit-picking nanny to them back then. These days though, he does seem to be more hands-off, but some spiritual masters do claim that they do nothing that God hasn't told them to do. They work for God, not for themselves. Individuality was stonkered by God in the past. Moses was not a natural talker, having a stutter, but God told him all would be alright, as God would put the words into his mouth. God controlled everything from personality, thought, to actions, in his chosen ones. The long arm of God was shorter back then, and retributions were swifter, with many a person being instantly struck down, or punished, for their demeanours then too.

@Shiva49 As every soul created, is a part of God himself, I do not see God destroying any soul, but more just cleansing it with a new coat of paint, and letting it go on in another guise.

@innertalks In between God's intervention, many have perished. I do hope they experience God hereafter as they were yearning for his presence all their lives here.
