I just cant imagine going through the drill again with tooth filling. So my next option would be dentures. But they can be inconvenient and they could fall off anytime with pressure. I feel like teeth implants are like surgery but would function very much like real teeth. I wonder how they feel and the cost! One of the biggest regrets of my life is not taking good care of my teeth. I couldve channeled the money I spent on self help books for my teeth cleaning and tooth filling in early stage of cavity formation (sigh)

I have all my teeth, but the stepfather of my husband had implants. It is like surgery and it is painful.

@yoalldudes I have one tooth "reconstructed" because it had a cavity, the dentist drilled the inside and rebuilt the teeth with white ceramic, you cannot say it's not my original tooth. A one tooth implant here costs around from $ 1,000 to $ 2,000. It can cost a lot more if the bone is not dense enough and they have to reconstruct the bone first.

@LadyDuck As far as I know ceramics last from 5-10 years then you have to undergo procedure again. Porcelain lasts 20 years.

You are very lucky. You took good care of your teeth. One of my biggest regrets, not taking care of mine enough.

@zhangxueying The anaesthetics makes tooth extraction painless. Other procedures are way more painful like fillers.

@yoalldudes When I made two front teeth, the doctor gave me anesthetic. When I made the other two teeth, I didn't use anesthetic. I don't think this process is painful.Just open your mouth for a long time, and you will be a little tired.

@yoalldudes I can get them free here for Medicare for seniors but I won't as to me anything foreign in the body will be detrimental.

@RebeccasFarm I was scrolling down youtube and so videos that say why one shouldnt have implants. I have a gut feeling it is about negative sideeffects of foreign bodies in this case inside the gums.

I have already lost 10 teeth before I hit 40. I have dentures and sometimes I feel them in my mouth when chewing

I believe this is a very uncomfortable feelign. I love eating and even that will be gone or lessened in pleasure or satisfaction when I resort to dentures.

Really? Guess Im not alone. It worsened in my 40s. Also I think it is in the genes that was passed on me. My brother doesnt have any worries. He doesnt go to dentist for cleaning but his teeth is complete.

Hello! I also used to procrastinate dental treatment, but it's never too late to improve your dental care habits and prevent future dental problems. Regular dental checkups and cleanings can help detect problems early and prevent the need for more extensive treatment in the future. I hope this information helps you, and I wish you the best dental health.

I have one implant and only a dentist can tell. It wasn’t painful at all, but it was very expensive. Insurance didn’t cover it. A full month can cost about $40,000. My husband’s friend had it and he said it wasn’t painful at all.

Implants are expensive here in the States. They run about $1,500-2,000 each. I hear that it's not really painful to get them put in.

That really costs an arm and leg. I wonder as well if it is not harmful to our health to have a foreign body inside the gums.
